What’s the goal?

As the new school year starts, think about your goals. Think about what you want to and will accomplish. Write out your plans and how you will achieve them. Seek out resources and take action so you are working towards them.

Summer Break

While school is out, take this time to work on preparing for senior year. Look into volunteering with your local hospital, fire department, church, business establishment and make connections. Update or create a resume that describes all of your skills and hard work while being in high school. Your resume needs to reflect what you have achieved and accomplished. Looking at your resume may also give you an idea of what you want to study in college.

If you are indecisive, that is fine because this is the time for you to look at different majors and research the career you find interest in. Make the most of summer break by keeping yourself occupied with a checklist to prepare for a challenging but rewarding year. Take your breaks but also try to achieve tasks for the day.
