Take a break!! You deserve to take a break! Writing essays, doing homework, working, doing chores, and keeping up with school is a lot. Incorporate self care days during this time. Make sure you are checking in on yourself. Observe how you feel and what is causing you to feel overwhelmed. Put your phone down and just simply do nothing for a moment. It’s okay to be lazy during this time. You don’t always have to be doing work. Overworking yourself causes more stress.
It’s easier said than done but when you actually just do it, it will become a habit that you incorporate into your life.
Self care can be going for a walk, doing your hair, doing your nails, doing your makeup, playing video games, going for a run, going for a walk, gardening, getting dressed up, doing a facial, painting, drawing or listening to music or a podcast. Find something that makes you happy and brings you peace. Don’t feel bad for being selfish because you need to pay attention to YOU! If you don’t stop to take care of yourself you will have a hard time finding a balance. Make time for yourself because you work hard.
