School is almost back in session but while you're outside of the classroom, start to think about what it is that you want to do in your future. Who is doing what you want to do? Who attends the school you want to attend? Do you have a plan? Do you know what you want to do? What are you passionate about? What can you see yourself doing every single day? What makes you happy?
These are questions you need to ask yourself and prepare for once you enter life after high school. If there is someone out there that is achieving all of the things you want to do, do not be afraid to ask them questions or study them. Implement some of the things they are doing or have done into your life. Make your dreams your reality.
Try new things out. It is okay to try something and if you do not like it or it does not fit into your goals you can try something else. Make the best of seeking a mentor and learning things from them. They might have connections in the field or area you are passionate about.
Do not be afraid to challenge your peers (mentors, role models, family, teachers) and ask them questions. Dig deeper into what are the challenges they faced or still face. No one is perfect and everyone has a hurdle they are trying to get over. Ask them what would they do differently if they were your age again.
